On 23rd February St John’s morning service took on a changed format – that of a “cafe church”. An informal atmosphere during which discussion took place around “cafe” tables about the gospel parables. A constant supply of coffee and croissants added to the occasion. There were some interesting discussions and debates about favourite parables, characters in parables we could identify with and modern-day applications of the stories. There was a real sensae of fellowship and worship which everyone seemed to enjoy. Done every week it might loose it’s charm but certainly a hit as an occasional alternative.
