Horwich Moor’s 145th Anniversary

Post placeholder image

Horwich Moor’s 145th Anniversary service was held on Sunday 18th May, on a most beautiful warm and sunny day. Rev Jim Henderson led the inspirational service, his sermon theme being ‘The Way, the Truth and the Life’ and he gave a most interesting ‘Children’s address’ featuring his family’s visit to Australia. The young people of J.A.M. Club were involved throughout the service this year, reading the Gospel, delivering the first prayer and taking the Offertory, which everyone felt made this Anniversary very special indeed. The Chapel resonated to the joyous hymns’ and chorus singing and the event, followed by our traditional ‘Faith Tea’ where delicious food and fellowship were enjoyed in equal measure, resulted in a most joyous, truly memorable day.
Thank you to Monday Club for a donation of £50 for our Anniversary.
