Urban Outreach

Post placeholder image

During the school summer holidays with support from Bolton Council, Bolton at Home and hundreds of individual volunteers, Urban Outreach provide packed lunches to children and young people on low incomes who receive free school meals during term time, but struggle to make ends meet during the long summer break. Congratulations now that they’ve won £5000 from Aviva Community Fund towards the cost – thanks to all who voted to get them into the final. Now we’ve just got to make it happen! Anyone who wants to volunteer to make lunches on weekdays from 7.15am – 8.30am 27th July- 4th September, please get in touch with Hannah Matthews (lwp@urbanoutreach.co.uk) at Urban Outreach 01204 385848 or to distribute in Horwich from St. Catherine’s, Susan Preston (colin.preston8@btinternet.com) 01204 693722.
